Cinema Debate’s The Farooqi Bros are back with another packed movie discussion covering The Uprising, Hope, Buddy, Practical Magic 2, and the Akira anniversary re-release.

We give our thoughts on The Uprising, a film we found to be a major standout, before discussing Hope and what makes the sci-fi thriller such an exciting cinematic experience. We also take a more mixed look at Buddy, weighing what works and what doesn’t.

Things get more critical with Practical Magic 2, as we discuss why the long-awaited sequel fails to capture the magic of the original and doesn’t quite live up to expectations.

Finally, we revisit Akira for its anniversary re-release, celebrating the legendary anime film’s lasting influence and discussing what makes it such an important piece of cinematic history.

It’s another wide-ranging episode covering new releases, highly anticipated sequels, sci-fi, anime, and everything we’ve been watching.
